Essential Oils for a Good Night’s Rest
Essential oils can be wonderful tools to help us get a good night’s rest. Lavender essential oil is soothing to body and mind. Valerian essential oil and Spikenard essential oil are deeply calming and relaxing. Vetiver essential oil helps us calm mind chatter. Juniper Berry essential oil is helpful when experiencing nightmares. Roman Chamomile essential oil soothes body and mind.
How to use essential oils for sleep:
Apply one to two drops of the essential oil to the pulse points on the inside of your wrists and on your neck, under the sole of your foot, and diffuse 4-6 drops all night.
The essential oils in the doTERRA Sleep System contain a combination of these oils. It even comes with softgels to take internally which contain Lavender, Tart Cherry (natural melatonin), and L-Theanine – all helping you get a good night’s rest. The only oil you would have to apply in addition to your pulse points and diffuser is Juniper Berry essential oil to help with bad dreams.
