Description
Fennel can grow up to six feet in height and has delicate, feathery leaves. The history of Fennel use dates back to ancient times when Roman warriors were said to have consumed Fennel to make them strong and ready for battle. Fennel essential oil is best known for its distinct licorice aroma and taste, yet its ability to support healthy digestion. Fennel essential oil is also known for its ability to promote healthy metabolic function and support circulation.
Precautions:
- phototoxic (avoid direct sun or UV lights 12 hours after TOPICAL application)
- ‘hot’ essential oil (highly dilute when using topically to avoid skin irritation)
- check with your physician when taking blood thinners or diabetes medications
- avoid with peptic ulcers
- avoid with history of estrogen dependent cancer
- do not use before surgery
- do not use with kids under 5 years of age (more tips for moms)
