Taking care of our muscles and joints is so important for staying active and feeling our best every day. Whether it’s from overuse, stress, or even just the normal wear and tear of life, discomfort in our bones and muscles can really slow us down. With over 200 bones working together with ligaments, tendons, and cartilage to support our movement, it’s crucial to give our body the care it needs to stay mobile and healthy.
A balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D plays a key role in bone health, but I also want to share how powerful essential oils can be, especially when it comes to soothing achy muscles and joints. Using essential oils before or after exercise can make a huge difference—they may help relax tension, reduce soreness, and greatly support our recovery process. The natural properties of essential oils like lavender, marjoram and frankincense are calming and soothing, peppermint is cooling, stimulating, and drives other oils deeper into the tissues, cypress supports circulation, and wintergreen soothes achy feelings — just to name a few. So, I love applying essential oils to sore spots, whether I’m dealing with muscle fatigue or achy joints. They’ve been a great addition to my wellness routine, keeping me feeling flexible and ready to move!

Two essential oil blends that I’m never without are ‘Aromatouch‘ and ‘Deep Blue‘ essential oil blends.
Contains:
Cypress, Peppermint, Marjoram, Basil, Grapefruit, Lavender essential oils.
This blend is soothing, relaxing, helps lesson tension and tightness. Add one to two drops to a little bit of fractionated coconut oil and massage into the desired area. Really great after exercise! Can also be added to Epsom salts for a soothing hot bath.
Contains:
Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile and Osmanthus.
This blend is soothing, cooling, and extremely comforting to achy muscles and joints. It is also available as a Deep Blue Lotion (which I personally really love and are never without). Apply 3-4 a day for continued support.
Supporting the Body from the Inside Out
To support the body from the inside out and support a healthy inflammatory response, it is important to eat a healthy and anti-inflammatory diet.
